The application of tile in architecture can transcend the vocation only decorative, attributing to it artistic values that extrapolate the architecture itself. For the patrimony, it is necessary to identify these relations and to establish the conducts of preservation, seeking their valorization. The Mirante da Granja Guarani, located in the mountainous region of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, also called Mirante das Lendas, has its main architectural value in Indian-themed azulejos by the noted Portuguese artist Jorge Colaço, who is now in the state of ruin after  decades of neglect and vandalism. After detailed study of the object, based on a varied bibliographical research, we will present the proposal for revitalization of Mirante das Lendas, based on recommendations for its surrounding area. The project has focused on the reintegration of the potential unit of the tile panels as works of art, nowadays compromised in its reading due to the great existing gaps coming from the poor state of conservation of the set. It will also be proposed the recovery of the support architecture, indispensable for the survival of the panels, with special attention to the recomposition of the roofs.
