One of the biggest challenges when performing an intervention in buildings with the purpose of preservation is the complexity of a multidisciplinary approach that involves the process, including history, art and technology; it covers a wide and diverse range of experts. Just like the restoration, the universe of management is quite intricate, as it involves an extensive body of technical and administrative activities. The specificities of this kind of work, dealing with old construction systems, special materials and requires skilled labor, impose a very particular way of conduction, unlike the conventional construction industry. We are talking about an existing building that has a recognized cultural value. The building will either have a new purpose of usage or a work of modernization, which will require special care and attention to specific rules. However there is no management procedures specifically aimed at the practice management of restoration, and the literature concerning the matter is almost nonexistent. This paper aims to identify procedures in the management process of execution of works, specifically restoration. By studying the procedures of management of conventional civil works currently practiced, we will try to identify how to adapt them or develop new procedures in a way that gaps in the implementation of the management process of this kind of work can be reduced, so that these tools can be applied. There is no pretension to end up the subject, not only because of its multidisciplinary and complexity, but also because of its transformable character due to constant updates. The aim is to sow the seed of a job that can mean the start of a change in thinking and acting when performing restoration work
