The Imperial São Cristóvão district, important in the formation of the City of Rio de Janeiro, has a wide range of tangible and intangible assets of unquestionable historical and cultural value, which stand out in the urban landscape of the city. However lacks revitalization and preservation despite many suffered urban interventions. The work presented aims to contribute for the construction of the memory and identity of the Imperial São Cristóvão district , through not only the appreciation of the existing building heritage , but mainly for the identification of new cultural representations of place, permanent, dynamic or ephemeral ,that may be enjoyed by walking semi-guided, on a "walk zone" requalified, restoring the street importance of living space and social gathering of citizens, and enabling new ways to experience and understand the neighborhood, encouraging feelings of belonging.
