Vice-coordinator of PROARQ (2020-22). Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Bahia (1997) and master's and doctorate from the Civil Engineering Program at COPPE / UFRJ (2003). He is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (DTC-FAU / UFRJ) and a permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Architecture at UFRJ. He is the coordinator of the Testing Laboratory for Construction Materials and Soils and the Experimental Site at FAU / UFRJ where he carries out teaching activities and develops research and extension projects. He has experience in the field of Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Construction Materials and Concrete Structures, acting mainly on the following themes: construction systems, construction materials, concrete, numerical modeling, dams, young concrete and optimization.
